Path of War
New way to PvP
World of Warcraft caters to various playstyles, with PvP being a distinct and popular choice. Many players enjoy PvP either casually or competitively with their leveled-up characters. Recognizing the popularity of PvP-only servers where players start at the maximum level with starter gear for immediate action, we've developed a solution to integrate this concept into a normal realm. Introducing Path of War: this innovative, free feature allows players to create a max-level character exclusively for PvP. These characters are restricted to a special PvP-only zone, where they cannot engage in non-PvP activities. Equipped with starter gear, Path of War characters can dive into battlegrounds and arenas to earn better equipment.
How to create Path of War character?
To create a Path of War character, simply make a new character and speak to Morgan Blackhand, located in the starting zone (he’s available on all Whitemane realms). He will teleport you to the special PvP zone, where you can gear up, socialize (the zone isn't limited to just Path of War characters), duel, and sign up for battlegrounds and arenas.
Wartorn Items
Some Best-in-Slot items for PvP come from raids, so we've introduced Wartorn items. These are exact replicas of existing raid gear, available only to Path of War characters. They can be purchased with Honor for Normal or 10-Man versions, and Arena Points/Conquest Points for Heroic or 25-Man versions. The Wartorn vendor, located in the PvP zone, is updated with each content tier.
Limitations
Path of War characters cannot use the mailbox, Auction House, or trade with non-Path of War characters. They exist separately, unable to impact or be affected by normal characters, except in duels and teaming up for battlegrounds and arenas.
