Personal Arena Teams
Modern approach to arenas

In response to the evolving commitment levels of players, Whitemane has updated its approach to arena play. The traditional system of forming a dedicated arena team with a partner can be limiting, especially if you want to play with someone else temporarily. This becomes problematic when players want to team up with someone who is already part of another arena team, perhaps just for a weekend when their regular partner is unavailable. To address these challenges, we have removed the concept of fixed arena teams from the game. Instead of a Team Rating tied to a specific team, we now use a Personal Rating system for a separate player, and to queue up for an arena, you just need to be in a party.
Calculations
All rating and MMR (Matchmaking Rating) calculations are now based on the average rating of your party members. When you join a party with another player, the game will treat that person as if they were your arena teammate for the purposes of rating calculations. This new system offers greater flexibility and convenience, allowing players to team up with different partners without the hassle of managing multiple arena teams.
